Huawei to deploy HSPA network for Vietnam’s ENVTelecom
Updated Date:2009-12-3

Chinese vendor Huawei Technologies claimed anew deal to deploy HSPA network for Vietnam’s EVNTelecom, being the sole vendor selected by the operator for the purpose.

Huawei will make use of its SingleRAN solution with the network to be deployed by April 2010. A total of 2,500 3G base stations covering 46% of the country’s population will be deployed. The solution will ensure a smooth migration to LTE claims Huawei.

Towards achieving a higher QoS quotient the solution makes use of intelligent packet network (IPN) solution ensuring largest capacity PS equipment simplifying the network and providing easier traffic management.

“We are pleased to partner with Huawei,” said Mr. Pham Duong Minh, Director of EVNTelecom. “By using Huawei’s leading 3G technology, we will be able to provide our customers with the best quality mobile broadband services in the country."

"We are delighted to be selected by EVNTelecom for the deployment of its 3G network," said Ma Xiaobo, Managing Director of Huawei Vietnam. "With our proven technologies and solutions and extensive global deployment experiences, we will deliver a world-class mobile network to EVNTelecom."

The operator is wholly-owned by the government of the country and is a subsidiary of EVN Group.
