M1 completes 100Mbps data call on test LTE platform
Updated Date:2010-2-15

Singaporean cellular services provider MobileOne (M1), together with technology partner Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN), has reported a successful test on its trial Long Term Evolution (LTE) network, with transmission speeds reaching 100Mbps on a data call. Commenting on the trial M1 chief technical officer Patrick Scodeller said: ‘I am delighted with the completion of today’s data call, which met our requirements for low latency, high speed, and reliability… The ongoing trial will let us obtain firsthand experience of Nokia Siemens Networks’ commercially ready LTE hardware and software, based on its Flexi Multiradio base stations. Our network modernisation contract with Nokia Siemens Networks represents the first steps in our evolution towards LTE, and this trial helps pave the way to faster and better quality mobile broadband services in the future.’
